Immersive theatre — the genre that took New York by storm — arrives in rural Japan as a two-day, one-night death game staged inside a real abandoned elementary school.
Produced by Immersive Lab, the experience is written by Peyon Jun, creator of the hit Japanese immersive shows Okami no Mura and Immersive Night, together with Immersive Lab producer Yuto.
For two days you live as a character in the kind of death game you have only ever watched in dramas. A role, relationships, a secret. Not an audience member but one of the leads, you decide who to save — and who to betray.

STORY

The stage is a real abandoned school. The former Minozawa Elementary School in Nasu, Tochigi — now the experience facility NASU UTOPIA — is reserved entirely for the game. The classrooms, corridors and schoolyard where children once ran become the arena of your death game.

You are not a spectator. You are dropped into the world of a death game as a character, with a role, a backstory and hidden information handed to you in advance. What follows is a web of relationships, bargains and betrayals — and over two days, you alone decide who to save and who to sell out.

How you act changes the ending. The rules of the game live inside the story: read the information you are given, talk to people, and keep making choices. No stunts required — only your judgement and your words hold the key.

Every player receives a unique name, a backstory and a secret they can tell no one — before the game even begins.

The story is performed in Japanese. In the International Edition, one dedicated interpreter — English or Chinese — joins your session and stays with international guests throughout the two days.

This is the one thing that sets the International Edition apart. The story, venue, rooms and meals are the same as the Japanese edition.

NASU UTOPIA is a renovated former elementary school turned overnight experience venue. Classrooms, corridors, the gym at night, a sauna — the real spaces of an abandoned school become the stage for your two days.

“那须乌托邦（NASU UTOPIA）”由旧美野泽小学改造而成，是一座可住宿的体验型设施。教室、走廊、夜晚的体育馆、桑拿——真实废校的空间本身，就是你两天一夜的舞台。

By train + shuttle (recommended for visitors)
· Take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nasushiobara Station (approx. 70–80 min).
· Our paid shuttle runs from Nasushiobara Station to the venue (¥750 per person, one way; approx. 45 min).

By car / free parking on site
· Approx. 35 min from Nasu IC or 25 min from Nasu-Kogen SA Smart IC (Tohoku Expressway).
· Enter “栃木県那須町簑沢563-4” in your navigation. The venue is in the mountains with few landmarks.

The game ends at 10:00; the shuttle leaves at 10:15 and arrives at Nasushiobara Station around 10:50.

  • LanguageThe story is performed in Japanese. One English or Chinese interpreter supports international guests in each session.
  • Mobility & sensesThe game involves walking indoors and outdoors for extended periods, and relies on visual and spoken information. Guests who cannot walk unaided, or who are blind or deaf, unfortunately cannot take part.
  • HealthThere are some startling effects, dim or enclosed spaces, and a winding mountain road to the venue. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, a strong fear of the dark or confined spaces, or other health concerns, please contact us before booking.
  • IntoxicationGuests who are heavily intoxicated cannot take part.
  • 年龄限18岁及以上。
  • 语言故事以日语演出。每场配备1名英语或中文翻译，为海外参加者提供协助。

  • No late arrivalThe story cannot be joined after the 14:00 start (or after the 12:45 shuttle departure). Late arrivals are treated as cancellations without refund, and dates cannot be changed.
  • What to bringA smartphone with LINE (required), clothes and toiletries for one night, swimwear for the sauna, and comfortable shoes. Notepads and pens are not provided.
  • No spoilersPlease do not post missions, puzzles, hints or story developments on social media or blogs.
  • PhotographyPhotos are welcome in permitted areas. Please avoid showing other guests when posting online.
  • RespectIntentional physical contact with other guests or cast is strictly prohibited. Violence or harassment will result in removal without refund.
  • WeatherThe event runs rain or shine. It may be cancelled in the event of storm warnings or major transport disruption.
  • ValuablesPlease look after your own belongings. The organiser and venue cannot accept responsibility for loss or theft.
